Douma Construction Inc. specializes in high quality residential construction, renovations and additions, taking care of every detail from design and permits through rough construction, to the final finished touches of the interior and exterior of your home, cottage or garage.

Frequently asked questions

  • When can you start?
    Design, planning and permits take time as we want to make sure you will be happy with the finished result. We are also usually booked 3+ months in advance, so it is never too early to contact us to begin planning your project.
  • How much will it cost?
    Every project is different, so every project will cost a different amount. Douma Construction can work with you to create a plan, and contract designers or architectural services if necessary. From there we can factor in every detail and produce an estimate of what the work will cost. This will be shared with you in detail so you know where your money is being put to work.
  • How long will the project take?
    Again, every project is different, so every timeline is different. Our goal in working on your project is to be efficient while keeping up a high standard of quality so that we can get your job done in a reasonable timeline.
  • Will my house be filled with dust?
    Renovations can be messy, so we set up dust barriers with zippered entries, put down drop clothes in our path of travel and clean up at the end of every day. Our goal is to keep the dust out of your living space while we complete your project.
  • Will my project get pushed out of the way if a better one comes up?
    Once you have approved the plans and estimate for the work to be completed, we sign a contract with you outlining the work to be completed and the payment schedule. Once signed, we collect a 10% deposit and your job is placed in order into our schedule. When the next customer decides to move ahead with their project, they will do the same and their job will be placed next in order. All jobs are scheduled in the order of the contract signed/deposit given and are kept in that order.
